Premium Arctic Spa Custom Series saltwater hot tub with automated Spa Boy system. Steaming hot after a day on the trails or the lake. No other cabin in Fircrest has one.

4 Watercraft Included — Free

2 kayaks + 2 paddle boards, ready at the dock. Flat lot with direct lake access. Bring your own boat or jet ski and park at the community dock. Life jackets in the storage box at the dock.

End of the resort, flat, closest to the lake. Private, quiet — no traffic past your door. Fire pit overlooking the water.

You'll have the entire cabin to yourselves. Self check-in with keypad lockbox (code sent before arrival). Full access to the hot tub, kayaks, paddle boards, BBQ, fire pit, and all resort amenities (beach, playground, rec room, boat launch).

Cottage Rules
  • No smoking inside the cottage (designated outdoor area available)
  • No parties or events without prior approval
  • Quiet hours: 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM
  • Pets considered — please ask before booking
  • Maximum guests: 6
  • No glass near the hot tub
  • No hot pans directly on counter — use cutting board or trivet
  • No fishing from the beach — lost fishing gear in the rocks is a hazard to people walking the shoreline
  • Maximum 2 vehicles per lot — must be parked in designated parking spots

Outdoor & Waterfront

Water Sports

  • 2 kayaks and 2 paddle boards available for guest use — paddles included
  • Life jackets (2) are in the storage chest behind the cottage (back patio)
  • Please wear a life jacket — this is a requirement, not a suggestion
  • Rinse paddles and boards before storing
  • Return all gear to its storage spot after use

Hot Tub

  • Premium Arctic Spa Custom Series saltwater hot tub
  • Shower before use — no soap or detergent residue or you'll get foam
  • No glass near the hot tub
  • After use, add one capful of Refresh (under the sink)
  • Keep the cover on when not in use
  • Automated Spa Boy system handles chemicals — do not add anything to the water
  • Load sharing device: The hot tub shares power with the stove/oven. If you turn on the stove or oven, the hot tub will automatically shut off. When you turn the stove off, the hot tub will power back on after a short delay. This is a local code requirement — only one can run at a time.

Fire Table & Griddle

  • Fire table and Blackstone griddle use propane
  • Spare propane bottle available
  • Lighting the fire table: Turn the control knob to low and hold in, press the red igniter button repeatedly until it lights, then release the knob after ~30 seconds
  • To turn off: Close the valve on the tank first, let the line burn off
  • Propane refills: Canco One Stop, 3 min north

Fire Pit

  • Fire pit available for use — check Cariboo Fire Centre bans before lighting
  • Keep fires small and attended at all times
  • Fully extinguish before leaving or going to bed

Parking

Front parking area only. 2 vehicles max per lot — must be parked in designated spots. Do not park in the back.

Heating / Cooling

Electric Baseboard Heat (Mysa Thermostats)

  • Each room has a Mysa smart thermostat on the wall
  • Use the touch screen to set your desired temperature

Heat Pump (Daikin Aurora Mini-Split)

  • Two indoor Daikin Aurora units — one above the TV in the living room (white), one in the bedroom (white)
  • Each comes with its own remote — both remotes work on either unit
  • Point the remote directly at the indoor unit — it uses IR so needs clear line of sight

  • MODE — cycles: Auto → Cool → Dry → Heat → Fan
  • ▲/▼ — adjust temperature
  • FAN — fan speed
  • SWING — adjust louver direction

Cleaning & Housekeeping

Housekeeping protocols for between guests and at checkout.

Cleaner Protocol

  • Strip all beds and collect used linens — start laundry immediately
  • Wipe down all surfaces: kitchen counters, bathroom vanities, tables, nightstands
  • Clean and sanitize bathroom: toilet, shower, sink, mirror
  • Vacuum all floors and rugs; mop hard floors
  • Wipe down kitchen appliances: stovetop, microwave, fridge exterior
  • Check under beds for debris or forgotten items
  • Restock toilet paper, soap, shampoo, and paper towels
  • Empty all indoor garbage bins into outdoor containers
  • Wipe down outdoor furniture and BBQ as needed
  • Check hot tub water clarity and chemical levels (Spa Boy handles automation)
  • Inspect kayaks and paddle boards; ensure life jackets are in storage chest
  • Ensure fire pit is clean and ash is disposed of safely (if cold)
  • Final walk-through: lights off, doors locked, thermostat set to eco

Guest Checkout Tasks

Guests are asked to do the following before 11 AM checkout:

  • Start the dishwasher
  • Gather used towels and leave in a pile on the floor
  • Take trash to bins by main gate (2 garbage bins, 1 cardboard bin)
  • Put the hot tub cover back on
  • Return kayaks, paddle boards, and life jackets to storage
  • Close and lock all windows and doors
  • Turn off lights, TV, and electronics
  • Leave lockbox key in the box

The professional cleaner will handle the deep cleaning, linens, and restocking. No need to do more than the list above.

Hot Tub Maintenance

  • Spa Boy system handles automated chemical dosing — no manual chemicals needed
  • Check water clarity daily during turnover; call Greg if cloudy
  • Between guests: Run a full cleaning cycle, check chemical levels, ensure temp is 100–104°F
  • Guests: Rinse off before entering the hot tub. No soap, lotions, or oils.
  • No glass anywhere near the hot tub
  • Keep the insulated cover on when the tub is not in use (heat retention + safety)
  • Ensure the cover straps are secured (prevents wind damage, keeps children/pets safe)
  • Monitor water level — top up if needed after heavy use

Garbage & Recycling

  • Garbage: Outdoor bin located by the driveway [Pickup day TBD]
  • Recycling: Blue bin — please rinse containers before recycling
  • Kitchen garbage bags go to the outdoor bin when full — do not let bags pile up indoors
  • Place bins at the curb the night before pickup day

  • No hazardous waste (paint, batteries, chemicals) in regular garbage

Laundry

  • Cleaner handles all linens between guests — sheets, duvet covers, pillowcases, towels
  • Used towels go in the laundry basket in the bathroom
  • Guests should NOT strip beds — leave linens on for the cleaner to sort
  • Wash all linens on hot (60°C / 140°F) with bleach-alternative for sanitation
  • Dry on high heat to ensure complete drying
  • Extra blankets and throws: wash every 2–3 turns or if visibly soiled
